Perhaps you can consider extending the C1 to Pollock every second journey. This would allow you to see the take-up and act accordingly.

For the Route 6, perhaps consider a 30 minute all stops service, with a 30 minute fast service that omits the lesser used stops.

As you say, watching these videos is not as fun as actually playing the game, though I find the game a bit stressful, trying to keep up with the maintenance etc. But I am a fan of the IoW, having family roots there, so I keep watching with interest. Just wondered about your Sunday schedule; for a Londoner, it's understandable that you have a far smaller schedule, but on the Island, Sundays are full of tourists and day trippers! Still, the game probably wouldn't take account of that, so your approach is probably ok! Have fun; I will probably keep watching.

When I undertook my last London scenario, I placed depots in exact TfL garage locations, and ended up running out of depots (as I reached the maximum number of secondary depots). There is a fantastic range of available TfL vehicles. It certainly helps if you have a good knowledge of London streets as there are one-way systems galore. The next time I play London again, I will try and keep the vehicles in each depot having liveries from the same provider (Arriva, Abellio, London Central etc.).

I find that the auto-scheduler works very well providing you set the timings (see settings) correctly along with good bus type designations. You could mitigate against your non-allocation issues in the SV depot, by a manual amend, and subsequent copy/paste to other weekdays.

Interesting management as always 👌🏻 I find the shift scheduler to be a blessing or a curse ... you can lengthen the shift timings, bus run timings etc etc within it's settings, but what the scheduler does is not always what you'd hope it might do ! Perhaps prototypical of early post-deregulation times my coaching fleet is occasionally dropped on local minibus services to cover mechanical shortages, the game sure does have it's quirks ... Remember the IOW loves it's open toppers along the coast, there's E400's & other examples in the workshop 👌🏻

Did you make a schoolboy error? I believe that your 30A is actually the 30C.

Go into the scheduler, and in settings you can reduce the shift lengths and times between duties. I have the times as 15 mins for buses and 1 1/2 hours for drivers on a 5 hour duty length.

the 902/3 services around newport are getting paaaacckkedddd!

I have played Glasgow, to me it seemed it had more one-way streets than most towns. I would recommend trying Dublin at some point in the future, only of my favourite cities for City Bus Manager.

To get the best interlinked route performance for the Cowes MiniLink, go to the advanced timetable and tick 'Allow bus route changes within shift' for both the 102 and 103 (and later the 104). This will then allow (especially when auto scheduling is available), the optimal scheduling. Take note that until you have auto scheduling, avoid doing this for other routes as this requires vehicle type to operate effectively. I really like the 'morse' livery, not so keen on the darker one as this could lead to 'hard to see' buses for locals in unlit country areas.

I don't think the shift scheduling bug is a bug. I think it might be because of the shift being cancelled because of how delayed it is

PL06RYP was new to Preston Bus, then to Stagecoach, then to Rotala when Preston Bus operations had to be disposed of again. BTW, E713LYU was an Optare StarRider, not a MetroRider.

It might be worth undertaking some vehicle size usage analysis. Are you double decker's being used effectively, is using them on the route 3 losing your company income (left behind customers on the route 1 pay no revenue).?

For next time, it is better to repay the higher interest loan first. You would then have had £50K available for additional vehicles. Depot activity during shift change is less hectic if you switch to 'normal' time; once the activity has finished you can switch back to 'fastest', if required.

The 1 needs a slight adjustment, as the first two trips to Cowes are empty working, perhaps better to have them in service from Newport. Also to offset your vehicle shortage on route 1, set to a 30 or 25 minute headway.

Ashamed you got the Whipps Cross routes wrong. W12, W15 and W19, with a Sunday extension in for the 357

Been to Peterborough but haven’t been to Sandy. Plus the new East-West Rail link is in planning stages to have a new railway line to the north of Sandy and a new railway bridge to pass over the East Coast Main Line. Good location for train spotting as well.
